The Wristcuff Bracelet-Problem solving

I have been doing some drawings with the intention of creating a range of bracelets, or wrist cuffs.

I started making this bracelet for myself, using silver and part of a car cambelt.

I did some drawings to try and figure out ways to make the catch and closing mechanisim.

I used silver as a means to solve some technical problems, for the side panel and catch mechanisms.

I was looking for a metal panel that would be structurally strong and hold its form. Most of the scrap i came across was too thin so i felt it would be a worthwhile experiment to use silver.

A part of me wants to use aspects of silver in my product ranges. I think i would like to incorporate other recycled elements  however of a precious content in the hope that i can make more personalised 1 off pieces.

I think id like to try and create a unified aesthetic by using a mix of traditional materials and found objects....

There may be the fear that the work is only being percieved as an accessory in a commercial sense, and i would like to find a way creating an extension in its value.
