Commercial ranges

Reflecting on the past events of 2011…I think i may have achieved what i initially intended.

Last year i created a commercial range of belt buckles appropriated from old tape cassettes.

A broad audience of people responded to them positively and this resulted in a few sales. It was a successful venture to produce them on a slightly larger scale to meet more people at one time.

The overall response was positive and helped me understand that majority of the viewers experience was not so fixated on the narrative but rather just the overall visual experience.

Previously i had been so concerned with trying to alter the narrative, and it was becoming rather tedious.

I will continue to produce the belt buckles on a commercial level, however knowing what i know now they will still maintain their own sense of individuallity although i wont be thinking about trying to alter the meaning i will just let them be.
