North Bank: Found object excursion

Been to the North Bank 3 times in 3 days. I haven't caught a single fish, but i'm starting to question how central catching fish is to these little adventures.

The North bank is flanked by the Umgeni river, and some very natural looking mangrove vegetation. Its exciting walking along the bridge, into oncoming traffic  and then using the temporary scaffold bridge to get to the bottom. Theres also the 1 in a millionth chance of being eaten by a crocodile.

Spring tide has been regurgitating objects like no tomorrow. In the past 3 days i have found plus minus 15 balls, all types of balls. This might mean, that some people have more balls than others.( drum roll)

There has been some very interesting photographic opportunity, and there is plenty of human debri to get the creative juices flowing. I came across two destroyed wooden sculptures.

a very dirty duck..........

 a hip flask

and some plastic toy type objects

Todays quest has made me think of ways i can share my knowledge of found objects, and working with materials that happen to be there. Sustainable material is an open canvass, with much aesthetic potential. There is possibly hundreds of things you could make with found objects. The key is to constantly exercise that type of thinking until it becomes a natural habit.
